Tax Accountant
CLEAR Corporate is looking for an outstanding Tax Accountant with a strong Australian tax experience to join our specialist team of accounting professionals working for Australian clients from a range of industries.
ROLE
The role is to provide first-rate tax accounting services that will help our client, a Perth-based Chartered Accounting practice, in their commitment of providing a broad range of taxation, accounting and professional advisory services tailored to their clientele’s needs.

OPPORTUNITIES
The Tax Accountant ensures that the finance and accounting function of all group entities are adequately supported.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the flow of information between the account and its clients
- Input computer data using Xero Online Accounting Software
- Prepare draft Business Activity Statements (BAS’s) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS’s) for review by the Accountants
- Prepare draft Financial Statements, including Depreciation Schedules for review by the Accountants
- Prepare draft Income Tax Returns for review by the Accountants
- Prepare income tax returns for Company, Trust, Individual & Superannuation
- Prepare ATO applications such as ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG
- Liaise with the ATO on client matters
- Attend to business entity setup and registration
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant taxation and other related legislation and rulings
- Participate in external and internal training as required
- Ensure that all work is error-free and professionally presented, and complies with procedures and systems
- Maintain current files and records accurate, and date any actions and detailed file notes
- Prepare workflow reports for clients
- Perform other tasks as required by the client and management.
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Expertise in Australian taxation
- High degree of English proficiency (verbal and written) with proactive mindset
- Result driven with high degree of accuracy and attention to details
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Confident and positive personality with a “Can Do” attitude
- Flexibility to perform relevant admin tasks as required by the clients
REQUIREMENTS
- With 3 to 5 years experience in handling Australian taxation and good understanding of the different type of Australian entities
- Proficient in using Xero accounting system & Microsoft Office applications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- Exposure in managing multiple entities with inter-company transactions/loans (desired)
- Working experience in Xero Add-ons such as Dext, Vend, WorkflowMax etc.
- Fit-to-Work status upon completion of the Pre-Employment Medical Exam with drug test and valid NBI Clearance or proof of confirmed appointment for NBI Clearance

Due to the pandemic, we are temporarily on a Work from Home (WFH) set-up until further notice to resume working onsite in Makati City.
Minimum internet speed requirement for an effective WFH is at least 10 mbps on a postpaid subscription to any internet service provider (ISP). And to be eligible to the monthly internet subsidy must have a back-up internet connection or prepaid device (pocket WiFi or router) with a network different from the main ISP.
CLEAR provides the PC set with freight expense coverage.
